Princeton Tec ! Breakable!

I have a Princeton Tec dive light. It has the vented handles as most Princeton's do. I got to the keys and American Airlines had figured out a way to break that handle in half! When I bought it I thought it was kinda a weird design. I will not buy another! Getting a UK Xenon as primary.

Did you try contacting AA or maybe the shop where you bought it. Maybe it was defectice manufacturing.

OK, but I'd reconsider first- if they can break the handle they can certainly break a xenon bulb- those are quite easy to break with a tiny bit of impact or shaking. I'd get an LED light in a second, xenon bulbs are too fragile IMO.

See if you can get a replacement. It is a great light.

Anything is breakable where baggage handlers are concerned. I prefer UK to PrincetonTec, but I don't know that I can fault PT in this instance.

Send PT an email and tell them what happened, I bet they will replace it with a new one. I broke a PT light once myself and it was totally my fault. They replaced it and even paid for shipping. That light has a lifetime warranty.

Princeton Tec will most likely replace it for free and throw in replacment batteries.

I've had about 4 or 5 of their lights break and they replaced every one and even included new batteries when they returned it. can't complain about that. Return took on average 2 to 3 weeks, which is acceptable considering "slow mail method"

I, too have had 4 or 5 Princeton Tec lights die on me, and they've been cheerfully replaced each time, no questions asked. Excellent customer service.

OTOH, I have yet to have a single UK light break on me. And rumor has it they'll replace it just as cheerfully if it does... the difference is, I have yet to have a single UK light break. Thus my preference for UK.

You guys must be 'brutal' on those PT lights....I have had a unit in service for several years with no problems.
