If you have a hard time getting a seacure on a reg... I've found that putting the end that goes on the mouthpiece into some hot (but not boiling water) for a few seconds (like a hot coffee for about 10 seconds) it will loosen up enough to go on.

I was kind of hoping that you, or somebody would come in with that pearl of wisdom...
I was a bit hesitant to do so..as the written directions threaten you with death, dismemberment and likely drowning if you put the "other end" into hot water.....
Thanks for the permission, boss!

Yeah, larry is dead on with this! just a bit of heat will soften it up enough to slip it on. I also find that I can tighten the tiewrap more while it's soft (still slightly hot). The tiewrap digs in to the seacure better.

Enjoy your seacure! It,s one of the best investments I've ever made in dive gear!

Be careful with the seacure and make sure you get it on there good. It has been a contributor to several accidents by slipping off underwater. If it does slip off, don't panic- you have an octo and it's possible to breath from your primary without a mouth piece if you need to.

I had a heck of a time trying to put my SeaCure onto my Zeagle second stage. I ended up splitting the side of the SeaCure.

So. I had to send it back to ST, which promptly sent me a replacement at no charge.

This time, I put the regulator end into 165 degree F water for 10 seconds, using the yellow plug to avoid deforming the air chamber. I carefully lined the SeaCure up with the reg opening and it slid right on without any noticeable deformation.

Worked like a charm.

My only complaint is that SeaCure should include that step in the instructions. Instead, they make a huge point of keeping that end away from the really hot water when you form the mouthpiece end.

Maybe ST should include its own, supplemental instructions, at least when the SeaCure is going to be mated up to a Zeagle.

I had no problems with mine - put it on a cressi ellipse - feels great (now to dive with it lol!) It was a tad tight, and heating it up just a bit allowed it to go right on.
