Spring fin Straps

I highly suggest getting some spring fin straps. They make getting fins on and off much easier and are a sinch to install. I've got a pair of Cressi-Sub fins and it took me about 5 minutes to change the straps. Keep in mind my fins are a M/L so I ordered a large strap and had to exchange it for a medium one.

The strap also provides for a more comfortable fit. Here's what I got, however there are different models of straps desgined to fit the differnet models of fins out there.

Or you can go to the fin section on Scubatoys and find a pretty good selection.

As the buckle on my Cressi Rondines broke on just my four ocean dive, I've been looking at spring straps for them.

Questions: What model of Cressi did you use these straps on? Do they snap right into the existing female buckles? Is the buckle pin metal or plastic?

Thanks.

Would you believe that they are the black and gray Cressi Rondines. I don't remember if I tryed to just snap the spring into the female snap buckle or not. What I did was remove the buckles off the little rubber/plastic nub on the side of the fins and then carefully wiggle, push and twist the new buckle on. It took me like I said about 5 minutes to remove the old and install the new per fin.

If your fins look like these you should be "golden".

Just go to the ST page and search "spring strap". They have several good choices to choose from.

These should work out just fine for you. You just need to find out what size you'll need (basically means how long the spring is).

I have one of the older version Apollo Bio-Fins and added spring straps a couple of years ago. Love 'em! No more hassling with buckling & unbuckling, just snap on or off over the heels and you're good to go!

I don't know why, but my tech instructor told me I had to have spring straps for my course. I have them of course and love it, but I've never been told I need them.
