Sounds like the Seasoft belts.

I prefer something where you can adjust the weights, but they're nice belts all the same.

It would seem to be rather limiting not being able to adjust the weight. I would go with something adjustable IMO.

I will echo the positive comments on the XS Scuba weight belt. I got it when I started dry diving because I didnt want to have to use a fork lift to be able to pick up my weight intergrated BC while dry diving.

The simplest way to make a belt more comfortable is to remove one of the weight blocks and add that much weight to the BC. Maybe just put a weight on the cam band.

I bought one of those xs scuba belts but I didn't like the extra bulk. I didn't like the plastic buckle either. I did salvage the webbing. One thing you can do is to use more smaller solid weights on the belt. I've seen some that look like cylinders. String a few of those on and the belt remains flexible.

Someone at a dive shop once showed my how bad lead shot weights are for the environment. He did a simple demo where he placed a few shot bags in a bucket of water and swished them around. The water turned cloudy with all the lead dust. It seems that the shot is always rubbing together grinding and making dust that comes off in the ocean. I use the hard weight that are dipped in rubber.

My XS SCUBA belt has a stainless steel buckle and pockets for shot pouches or hard weight. My belt is very comfortable and flexible. My Rig is set-up so that I can remove it and free dive without having to adjust the weight on my belt. Handling lead can be more detrimental to the user if ingested or inhaled. So it is best after handling to wash hands before eating.

Agreed. I love my pinnacle comfo-belt. The buckle is rock-solid, no worry about it coming off when I don't want it too. With the rubber lining, it doesn't shift around. And, it's VERY comfortable - hardly know it's on my waist. First time I used it, I kept checking to make sure it was still there, because I couldn't feel it.

Cost was about $50. One of the best investments I've made in a while.
