I don't know the answer to this question but I thought I'd ask one. How much diving have you managed yet? Rescue is certainly a great class but unless you have at least begun to get a mastery of the other skills you will not get out of rescue what you want. Don't take this as an insult, I have not seen you dive and you may very well already have the skills necessary to take this class. I however rushed through to my AOW and to this day I wish I had not. I had problems and did not get as much out of the class as I should have. I waited before I took rescue and got a huge amount out of the class. Just something to think about.

Check the button above in the tool bar for the site called 'Area Calendars'; at the drop-down menu, select 'Scuba Toys Specific- Events, Training, etc.'
The it's just a matter of selecting the month that you're interested in. Hope this helps! |

![]() @TxHockeyGuy: I got 10 dives so far and I may get to CSSP this weekend for 3-4 more. I'm not sure which skills do you have in mind?

While I'm an avid believer that a diver needs to take rescue as soon as they can, I do believe that should be qualified to say as soon as they can once they're completely comfortable in the water.
If you have absolutely no issues with losing your mask under water, losing your regulator under water, no task loading with all the basic skills then you're ready for rescue and SHOULD take the course. If you have any problems in those areas I'd wait until I was solid because you'll get more out of the course that way. No matter which way you are right now, if you took it you would gain some valuable knowledge because there's a lot of things that all divers should know in there. Good luck if you take it, dive dive dive.
