August's AOW Class Reviews

I was part of the August group that went to Lake Travis and I was very impressed with the training we received, even with having 22 in the class. Nick, Jeff, and Platypus man (sorry dude I never remembered your real name) were great instructors and the overall experience was very cool. This was my first exposure to NAUI, as I had taken my OW with PADI. I would definitely take another NAUI class from ST and I highly recommend taking the AOW from ST. It was a lot of work to get down to Lake Travis, but it was also a lot of fun doing a diverse set of dives, six altogether. Thanks again Nick, Jeff, and Platypus man for the instruction and the great cookouts!

Must echo Jip's statements. (And at the moment I can't seem to match Jip up with his name/face...that's the quirky thing about forums, we always think of each other by user names and avatars!)

We had a great experience with Nick, Jeff, and Platy and feel honored that we get to train with these guys through ScubaToys. Whenever I see any of our classmates out and about I am sure that we will have some inside jokes to share! John and I also really enjoyed Lake Travis and despite the vis issue you get with a lake, thought it had a nice bit to offer. The only thing I would change: maybe 80 degrees instead of 95. Otherwise, a great weekend with great people.

One last thing...

Tom: Thanks for the bratwurst that you left in our cooler! We had them for dinner earlier this week and we thoroughly enjoyed them!

UGH!!!!

I love my students, it's building and unpacking issues that make me whine. It's a looooong story but to try and make it short, they replaced everything from the ceiling up so the building was completely emptied and we are now in the process of filling it again and unpacking. Yikes!
