It was DAN. Watched the DAN video and it was incredible just how many times they said "DAN" in the video. Good vid though, virtually word for word from the book.

I finished chapter 1 from the rescue book, but need to buckle down and get thru 2-3-4 by this Monday eve. Why are the chapters so bloody long? Seems each chapter has 5 sections??

I think you'll enjoy Rescue. So far, it's been my favorite class. If you have a good instructor, teaching assistants, and "victims" that keep you on your toes, you'll have a fun, but challenging weekend.

After I completed Rescue, I went back as a victim. I learned a great deal more in addition to what I learned in class. The new classes made differnt mistakes than we did.

Rescue Test Question??

Went to the first class session last night. We got bumped out of the shop class room and the six of us ended up in a Chinese Restaurant. Loud, but it worked out fine. We covered the first three chapters, but did not get to chapter 4 as a couple guys were not ready. There is a ton of great info in the PADI Rescue Book. I feel like I understood things pretty well, but reviewing it all again will definitely be necessary before the big test on Sunday eve.

In the written test are the questions the same as the knowledge reviews you turn in, or do they ask from the questions posed in the purple sidebar of each chapter as well?? Are there trick questions like in the book where you don't mark any answer a question because all the answers are wrong?

Just wondering??

Exclamation I Passed! One New Rescue Diver!

Sunny day for our dives this weekend, but Sunday had 3-4 foot waves and made things tough. I am bushed now but need to go off to work. Will give you all a full rundown in the next day or two.

Thanks again for all the encouragement! So glad I did it.

Congrats WaScubaDude. I've finished all the classroom material, now I just need to find time to do the pool and open water dives. Starting to get troublesome with living in IL with the weather we've been having lately. Hopefully I'll finish it this year before heading to the Bahamas in February. Any pointers on the class you feel like giving to someone who is about to finish up? Thanks.
