Any PADI instructor in current standing is certified to teach divemasters... That being said, you need to find a somewhat busy shop, as the best part of divemaster is assisting with courses...

Find a dive shop, scuba diving shop, dive resort or scuba dive shop

Or, you could just take a month long vacation, come visit in St. Croix, and do your DM with me...

I did my PADI DM with a local shop that needed some DM's to help with classes. Took me about 4 months to complete but I started in the winter. Doing it as an internship worked the best way for me because things could be scheduled to work with the shops and my schedules. I also had the opportunity to work with a couple different instructors. In this way you learn different ways that different instructors do things.

I think if you have a regular job and are just doing this because of a love of diving and teaching other it's the best way. Talk to different shops in your area and see what there may be looking for and how they go about their DM program. Find what fits your style and needs. For most/all DM around me this is something we do because we enjoy it. I don't paid but I do enjoy working with students and it's a great stress relief after a bad week at work.

IF you DM in a warm place on the coast or an island things are likely different.
