Oceanic warrenty registration

I recently bought some Oceanic gear at a local shop. An octo and a console. I didn't get warranty cards for either of them. I went to the Oceanic web site, and used the "register" link to register the gear, but there was no questions about serial numbers or model numbers, so I'm not sure if I've really registered the products for warrenty coverage. Any insight?

Did you get a sign in name and password for the dive locker?

Yep, I did, and then entered the requested information for the stuff I bought. The fact that the exact product names weren't in the menus, and no serial numbers were requested is what has me wondering.

Oh okay, I would call. What I did was log on to my dive locker, click on register/update my gear, click on register gear, then pick the type of gear. After that it tells you to put in serial numbers and other information like the product name which I am guessing is where you don't find your exact piece of equipment. That sucks.

The oceanic online registration typically asks for serial numbers, at least for all the regulators I've registered over the years including the EOS I just registered last week. Not sure why it wouldn't be included on the form you filled out.

Just wanted to close the loop -- I did contact Oceanic via email, got a very quick response indicating that my on-line registrations were good. They said they only ask for serial numbers when registering digital equipment, which explains why I wasn't asked. Still seems odd that the menu system didn't have my exact equipment (SWIV MaxDepth NavCon), but I just typed it in myself, and that is apparently good enough.

Thanks for the replies everyone.

Not surprising that they didnt have you're exact computer in the drop-down... for the eos i just registered.. the eos is listed in the first stage (no such thing) and it's not listed at all in the second stage drop down list. Seems the guys making the menu's are dive illiterate ;-)
