looking for input

Hi all,
I am looking at a few different dive computers. 2 of which are Aeris Atmos AI and the Oceanic datamax Pro Plus 2. What do you guys think of these 2 computers? Are the worth the money? thank you for your help.

Hello,

Both computers are great and probably worth the money. I personally dive an older Oceanic Versapro wrist mounth that is not air integrated.

I read your other post and saw where you wanted to KISS on your gear. In my opinion, the simple would be a standard brass pressure guage and a wrist mounted air/nitrox computer. The reason I say wrist mount is you tend to check your depth and time a lot more than your pressure level. in fact after you get a fair number of dives under your belt you learn your consumption rate and probably will only check your pressure guage a few times per dive. So it's nice to have your depth and time right there on the wrist rather than grabbing for the console.

So with that said, I would check out the Oceanic VEO 250 as well.

Ron
