VT3 Wrist strap
I've had my VT3 about 1.5 years now and the boot it's in (wrist mount) cracked on my dive last night.
I've got another one ordered from scubatoys because the warranty doesn't cover things like that, but I am curious about two things. How hard is it to remove the computer from the boot, and do they break often? I'm guessing it's going to be tough but doable and that this isn't a common issue since I haven't seen postings about it. Am I right? Any tricks to share on getting it out of the boot/wrist mount?

I believe I don't even need to cut it, the break is from the bottom across the side up to the slot where the band attaches. It's only held on by a mm of rubber that I think I could tear easily. But, what I'm wondering is if it's normally removed by brute force which often requires the same effort to replace or if there's a trick of some sort like start at this corner and it comes off easy which means reverse it to get it on easily.
At any rate it's bad enough that I didn't do the follow up dive for fear of it coming off and losing it on the bottom somewhere, there's that little left holding it together. What gets me is it was fine before the dive and in the space of one dive it broke. It's never been dropped, impacted, caught on something, or anything else. I've always treated it nicely and fed it plenty of water to grow good and strong.

For what it's worth, I did get the new boot and fixed it up. Even though the old one was cracked through it was a bear to remove it and worse to replace.
I was wrong about my fears on it falling off however, the strap attaches directly to the module and not the boot, so it's not going anywhere.
