Hey gang,
I was doing the math while surfing my new fave website and I figured out that with the free shipping, 10% off and forum gift card, I can get the Aeris Caribe for around 100 bucks. Any feedback on this BC? Is this a worthy investment or is there a good reason this guy is on clearance? Lemme know your thoughts. Thanks gang! Dive Deeper

Not a thing wrong with the Caribe from what I can see and have read about it. Just don't have expectations beyond its design. The Caribe is a basic BC with no bells and whistles. I don't think it even has integrated weights. I'd call the Caribe a good backup or travel BC. If you are considering it for your first all around BC, you might want to consider waiting until you can throw a bit more invenstment into the mix.
regards, Doug

I got both of my recently certified kids this BCD as part of a package. It has the same quality construction as my Aeris Coral. Just does not have all the extras like weight integration and attachment points. They dove this weekend with them and they worked great. I was impressed with the quality. I have even thought of getting one myself as a backup at the price they are offered. My daughter likes it because she could get one small enought to fit her well (13yo). Since it is inexpensive enough, we won't lose too much when she out grows it.
I don't think you could go wrong with one. Sure beats renting. ![]()
