Aeris XR2 battery change-- need help

Hi all, I just purchased an XR2 3 gage computer console and am wondering if anyone has replaced the battery in their unit? Specifically can anyone tell me how they removed the computer from the rubber console housing. Mine fits so tight I'm afraid I'll break it before I even get a chance to use it. I want to figure out how to change the battery as I will be diving for several weeks on vacation and don't want the battery to poop out and not be able to replace it. Also, anyone know where I can get a battery kit with the battery and o-ring for the hatch? Aeris sells the for $23 which seems kind of steep for a 4 dollar battery and an o-ring. Any advice would be most apperciated. Tnx---Ted

it's not "required" to change the o-ring, however it wouldn't hurt... so long as the o-ring is in good shape and fits correctly, it can be re-used with a very light coat of grease on it...

you can buy the kit on ebay for $12.50 buy it now, shipped... so, either way...

You might call ScubaToys. I'm sure they sell the kit.
