Welcome to the board, Mike! I'm in Tucson for the moment, but getting ready to head out to Florida soon. If you haven't had a chance, you ought to check out Lake Pleasant. It's not Coz, but it's a lot cheaper!

Hi Rob,
Lake Pleasant is anything but!!!! I had a boat at one time and tried to launch it there because it was close to home once, only once. A very trying day.

It can actually be okay. We just had 10-20' of visibility last weekend with 85 degree water!

hey Mike! Welcome to the board. I've never made it to Cozumel. I've dived St Thomas and Jamaica in the Carribbean, the Florida Keys, places up and down the Florida coasts and a fair amount of cavern diving in North Florida. Took a long break from diving... This year I've gone diving in the Philippines (I'm already planning another trip) and of course here in Japan :-)

Welcome to the board. I wish I felt more comfortable in low viz lakes. I sure would get more dives in. Cozumel sounds great. We stayed at Scuba Club Cozumel because it offered shore diving. It wasn't great, but we found out if you take a taxi a mile up the road south you can get to the reef and drift back to SCC. It is a bit of a swim back to the dock, but at least it is better than what's close up.
