The BBC documentary Blue Planet, which had a lot of terrific underwater footage, is now a live show. The Dallas Symphony will be presenting it July 1, 2 and 3 at the Meyerson Symphony Center. There will be a large screen over the stage with live narration with a full orchestra and chorus providing the sound track. There are some clips of it on YouTube.

How are they planning to do this exactly? just hop in the water and someone says "oh look a shark!" ?

No water to jump into, just cocktails in the lobby during intermission.

I went to something similar to this where they played live to shots of space from the hubble. The problem was it was a small screen and just a small projector so the imagery wasn't that impressive. Hopefully this one will be a better setup.

maybe they will do the same thing and just have big screens throughout the audience and play music to those scenes. i didn't see the blue planet tv version either .

It's laid out similar to the video games live program that they have been doing all over for a few years now.
