Has anyone else dove the LIVING WORLD at Disney's EPCOT? I was able to do it when we were there a couple weeks ago. I really enjoyed it! :smiley20: 2 Sand Tiger sharks made it interesting. They are definately the top of the food chain in there, and they know it. I've only been about a year. Wondered what others thought of it

Welcome to the board! Hope you enjoy your stay here! Great group of folks.

My wife and I did it a few years ago. We had two turtles, uh, getting cuddly. I think the most fun was playing with the kids on the other side of the glass though.

I only saw one turtle. He was sleeping on the bottom when I first saw him. He later woke up & came over to the fake reef to eat. I was hovering about 5 feet above him, just watching, when the sharks came in on both sides.

I also spent some time playing w/ some kids in the restraunt.
Great dive :smiley32:

That sounds very cool. I've never had the opportunity to dive at Epcot, but I think it would be fun. Welcome to the boards!

Sounds like fun. If I am ever down that way I will have to check it out.

I have dived in the Baltimore Aquarium. Pretty cool dive. Definitely nothing like it in the DC/Baltimore area.

I also dove at the Living Seas. My wife gave the ticket to me as a gift. I enjoyed it so much. My wife and 4 year old daughter was able to watch me enter the water from the top of the tank. They then went to the observation deck and waved to me through one of the windows, and it was all captured on video tape, which of course I purchased. Well worth the money. Great experience!

What kind of things did you do to the kids on the other side?

The Living Seas dive at Epcot is a pretty cool dive. My wife and I were there in Dec. 2005. The sharks make the experience memorable. When I was there, there was only one turtle and it was HUGE(200-300 lbs.).
It is defintiely worth doing, but not more than once.

Welcome to the board.... I'll have to check out diving at Epcot next time I'm home. How much did they charge?

I believe the year that I dove the Living Seas it was $140 but all proceeds went towards the Wild Life Conservation Fund. Here is a link you may want to try: http://www.solarius.com/dvp/wdw/divequest.htm

Hope that this helps.
