I wish it was that big! There's no reason for that kind of harassment. That seems to be the main theme in most of these videos.

Why do people enjoy screwing with animals? We should consider it a privilege that they let us into their home to begin with.

i wasn't screwing with the animals! All we were doing was a safety stop when my buddy started filming that eel. I didn't harass the eel either

doesn't look like they picked a fight with it, looks like the eel felt like tasting someone, and then just stayed around for a bit. no harm done.

I gotcha back mcc....folks this is a case of an aggresive eel. Anyone familiar with Vortex knows that the eels are plenty and the place can feel kinda cramped so you are always "bumping" into (not literally really) things or things are always bumping into you. Since we are in the animals habitat and if we are going to enjoy our past-time, we need to be cautious about what we say is "harrassment". The way I see this video (and what I have experienced first hand in Vortex) is that the diver was "harrassed" and simply gently fending off the lovable and cute attack of the killer eel, not grabbing him by the neck and squeezing the tar out of him.

I know you purists will consider ANY contact with the animals harrassment, in which case I would point out that divers harrass the habitat by the unnatural act of diving. Of course there is a line....but I think we may be drawing it prematurely here.;)

I didn't know they would interact like that. The ones I've seen are always in a hurry to hide in a hole!!!

Eels creep me out. I like to say 20ft away and watch from a distance
