Well, as the sub title to this forum said "we can't be under water all the time." What else do you folks like to do besides scuba dive?

I enjoy trap shooting, skeet shooting and sporting clays as well as deep sea fishing...

I enjoy flying, but like diving I only have one in four that enjoy that too. My 13 yr old daughter loves to dive and will probably become a Comm pilot. She takes after me and hope that's a good thing.

I love reading, movies, theatre and music. I also love being outdoors whether it's being on a boat, camping etc... my problem is I can never seem to find friends in my area who enjoy outdoor activities too, so I rarely get the opportunity to go.

I just purchased Microsoft, so I'm working on that right now. My future plans are to maybe own a McDonald's restaurant, maybe a couple. I'd really like a Wal Mart, but that's probably a bit in the future.
Those are just hobby's though, as someday I want a real career; maybe in diving.

I like trap shooting too. But I can't do it because I live in Japan. I've loved fencing for many years as well. But I can't do that either, because I live in Japan. Swimming? Hey, I've got to get out of this place! Too bad it's such a convienent base for warm Pacific diving. A couple of more years...then back to fencing and trap.

Some of us can't afford to leave the ice and snow during winter to find open water for diving. So we have to fill our extended surface interval with something ("Idle hands are the Devil's workshop"). For me it is reading (lots of science fiction), stained glass, and cooking.

Why leave? You've got some of the best Ice Diving in the world up there! We have to cross our fingers and hope for the conditions to be right so we can do it safely... you've got a sure thing! You want water? Bring a chainsaw.

I was going to take a fly fishing course this summer up in New Hampshire. It's wicked relaxing and a lot of fun from what I've experienced thus far. I've only done it once or twice and snapped a few flies off...

Long distance cycling (when I retire, I hope to become a "super randonneur"), sailing (going with my 12yr. old this weekend), tent camping with my boy scout son, RV camping with my city-girl wife and amateur astronomy.

I used to like flying powered parachutes, but I was grounded by the wife.

Btw, I DON'T play golf or watch sports on TV, so this give me more free time to do other things.

Next up: I'd love to learn wind surfing or kiteboarding.

I'm 50, so I need to look at the 'crash and burn' statistics first. I don't heal up like I used to....
