on Saturday, April 19. All events will take place on the first floor of the Anthropology Building on Texas A&M Campus, College Station TX.

The morning lectures and afternoon displays will be in Anthropology Room 130. Additionally, the Nautical Research labs and Institute of Nautical Archaeology office will be open for tours in the afternoon.

Morning Lectures

9:00-9:15 Refreshments and Welcome Address

9:15-9:40 Dante Bartoli -- "The Marble Trade in the Roman Empire: New Evidence from the Punta Scifo A Shipwreck (Croton, Italy)"

9:40-10:05 Mark Polzer -- "Phoenicians in the West: The Bajo de la Campana Shipwreck Excavation"

10:05-10:30 Shelley Wachsmann -- "Deep Submergence Archaeology: The Final Frontier"

10:30-10:45 BREAK

10:45-11:10 Peter Hitchcock -- "Mardi Gras Wreck"

11:10-11:35 Ben Ford -- "Understanding the Maritime Landscape of Lake Ontario"

11:35-11:50 Wayne Smith -- "3D Imaging in Archaeology: New Tools for Recording Old Tools"

From 1-4 pm there will be an open house and kids fair, with displays on: conservation, nautical excavation, steam engines, treasure hunting, old world wrecks, submersibles, pirates and seamen, scuba diving, and ship food.
