Ok y'all! Several of us back when the forum just started made a commitment to loose weight together. Accountability works!!! I didn't realize how bad I wanted to loose it until I posted my weights and goals for the world to see. I think we all kind of lost our focus. We need to pick it up again. We can all be healthier! Let's do it together. These are what my original goals were:

Start: 123 8-1-07
Goal 1: 120
Goal 2: 115
Goal 3: 110

This is what I have done:
Start: 123
Goal 1: made it!
Not sure what happened...129 (stinking holidays-start over:smiley19:)
Start: 129 1-1-08
Goal 1: 125 - Made it!!!
Goal 2: 120 - Made it!!!
Goal 3: 115 - Made it!!!
Goal 4: 110 - ONE STUBBORN POUND AWAY!
Total weight loss so far - 18lbs!:smiley32:

Let's stay on track and make a commitment!

Anyone else with me?

BTW, I have given birth to 3 babies....if I can do it....ANYONE can!!!

Sure.. I ballooned up when I was going out with my ex.. 164 or something ridiculous like that (i'm only 5'7)

so I've set my goal to get to 130-135

first weigh in i was at 152

second weigh in. . 143 and had lost 2 inches off my waist and 2 from my hips

third I forgot to weigh but I had lost another inch off my waist and half an inch from my hips

april 7th down to 136.. lost 2 inches from the chest, lost half an inch from hips and half from my thighs

I think I want to lose another 10 pounds though

I guess I'll join in.

Started at 236 a couple of weeks ago, down to 230. I plan on losing another 15-20lbs before I start focusing on bulking up.

I'm 6'6" btw.

I'm in. Heading to Bonaire tomorrow, hopefully the activity combined with "eating like a gentleman" will kick-start my weight loss resumption.

~250 when I started losing last fall, don't remember when exactly and I've been as low as 229. I'm 6' and can carry about 190-200, I look sickly at the suggested weight in the 170's.

My Goal - 190's

4/10/08 234

South Beach makes a pretty good frozen pizza...and they're loaded with about 30g of protein @ ~330 calories. I may have one today for lunch.

I'm In. I have been exercising and watching what I eat for a little over a month. It sucks, but the end result will be worth it!

I started 3-15-08 at 210lbs.
Now 4-13 I'm at 195. My clothes are at least fitting better.

We are going to Cozumel in June, so I am working really hard to loose by then....or at least tone it up.

My Goal -175 by vacation.

I'll keep you posted.

OK I like the idea of this thread. Accountability! I need to get on a decent reliable scale (one I have at home is never consistant) so I will get over to the health club (just found my membership card) and post up my current weight and goals within a day.

Ok, I had decided I wasn't going to join this and I'm still not going to but, this last two weeks, I've lost around 8 lbs. This weekends AOW classes really had me working and I am going to try to continue with the momentum I have from it.

336lbs to 328lbs.

I'm doing my best to eat cleaner and not as much as I used to. I have bad self control when it comes to eating. I did really well this weekend.. minus Saturday night when I ate 20 nekkid 3 Mile hot wings from hooters and a Yeunglin beer. :)

Here's to weight lose. :)

Just weighed in at an even 200lbs right after I got off the treadmill at the healthclub. (this is the most I have EVER weighed)

Goal #1 = 190 within 2 weeks
Goal #2 = 180 (timeframe TBD after reach goal 1)
Goal #3 = 175 Probably a realistic overall goal -sometime mid summer
Gaol #4 = 165 extremely aggressive goal. Man I would look good there.

I'll post up periodically quoting this post to see how I'm doing but you all have to hold me accountable.

This will be a challenge because I travel a lot for work and get called to social dinners for work a lot.

Same Here...Accountability. Got up this morning at 5:30am and worked abs. Went the gym after work and spent an hour on the eliptical. It kicked my butt....but I keep thinking the end result will be worth it.

Goal #1 - 175 by Vacation in June and I have a 10 year reunion then too.
Goal #2 - 170
Goal #3 - 165 - I haven't seen this since early college days!! (ultimate goal)

I am on the road alot too....I try to eat salads at restaurants; I know it sucks, but less calories.

My tips: Drink lots of water...only because it keeps you feeling full. And in the Evenings if you crave sweets...go brush your teeth. The cravings seem to go away.:smiley20:

Been to the gym 2 days in a row now and really pushed it hard while eating very little. Seeing some results but it doesn't mean anything at this point. Legs are sore from treadmill and bike. Also realized we have an exercise bike at home so days that I work at home I could get in 20 minutes here and there.

Okay, my wife de-railed my running plans for yesterday with baby shower registration, so I've got a new agenda. Turns out some folks at work are starting a "biggest loser" competition. Monday will be the official weigh-in, so I'm going to re-start the running that day. So now there's an element of competition involved and I'm not just doing it by myself.

Muscle weighs more than fat.

So if you are eating decently healthy, doing cardio, and toning then you will see a change in your body but at the same time don't go by how much you weigh cause again muscle weighs more than fat.

I have learned that since I had my tummy tuck if you go by what I started at and what I am now technically I have only lost 7 lbs. But I do spin class, eat decent, do yoga, and walk the dogs 4km twice a day. About to start belly dancing. It is a great way to lose and tone.
I am healthy, slim and toned.

I was part of that original thread. It just slowly dwindled away after several weeks.

To play catch-up here...

I started out in the 240+ area.
I lost all the way down to 209, then took a "break" to celebrate.
Here's a hint for all your others. Don't take breaks at the beginning of winter. It just too hard to jump back into the routine when the temp drops to at or below freezing.

Anyway, I put the fat back on up to the 230+ area. I think I hit 234 max before starting over. As of 2 weeks ago I had lost to 213. My next goal is 200. I finally weighed-in again today and I am still at 213. I may have added a little muscle though, becuase when I look at my stomach, I can see it's a little bit flatter.

Soooo, starting out at 234, currently at 213. Next goal 200. Final goal is 180. Although if I can were a size 34 pant before I reach 180, I'll be happy.

Yeah I remember the original weight loss thread, and I posted a goal schedule. I'm not exactly on it - but..... I have lost 20 pounds since last summer and about 15 since my old post on the weight loss thread! I'd like to drop another 10 at least.... and could even go 20. So, count me back in!

Thanks for the link to the couch-to-5k!! Me and hubby are going to try it, we both need to be able to run 1 1/2 miles in 14 minutes by the time I graduate (police department physical requirements) as well as being in overall better shape.

I started biking recently and usually do about 15 miles a week (sometimes all in one burst, sometimes broken up) on the rail-trails in the area. I can definitely feel the muscles in my legs building, they don't feel all flabby anymore and I don't get fatigued when kicking. I'm hoping to hit the pool (with snorkel, I hate the side-breathing!) more often as well.

While I've definitely gained a lot of muscle, I'm also down by 17 lbs since September when I first moved to Ohio. From 223 to 206! I can tell the biggest difference in my clothes, though, and that's how I know I've lost more in fat than I've gained in muscle, because I went from a size 22/24 to a 16/18! When bridesmaid dress shopping in October, I was barely fitting into 22's at David's even with a corset top, and a month ago I put on a 16 and it was only a tiny bit snug! I ended up ordering an 18 but will have to have it taken in because I had plenty of room in it. My size 20 pants fall off of me now, and even 18's are a little bit big (I have no hips, so if my belly isn't holding it up, it slides right off!) and I can wear some of the 'plus size' 16s (like Lane Bryant) that are slightly stretchy without fighting the zipper.

Now if only I'd lose some in the chest ... I'm a 42DD and it hasn't shrunk AT ALL. I'd be ecstatic to be a 38C again!

As of yesterday, I am down by 6 Kilos. It's a small start, but I am happy with it. I'll be glad when I break my first BIG goal of 200lbs. I'm tired of feeling hungry and tired all the time.

At least Sundays are my day off. I don't hit the gym, and I let my self drink chai and Bisons or BoomBooms.

Hello I was wondering what type of weight loss program you were doing? Diet, cardio, weight training?

Hey Jenn,
Sorry somehow I missed this post. I was doing a "diet plan" called 3,4,5. It was 300 calories for breakfast, 400 calories for lunch, and 500 calories for dinner with two 150 calorie snacks between. While I was doing this plan, I started paying close attention to my portion sizes and realized I was nearly eating for 3. That was HUGE for my weight loss. Not only that, it made me make healthier choices when I was hungry and looking for something to eat. I actually waited until I was done loosing my weight before I started my running. I know that is not typically ideal, but I tend to over do it. It is not wise for me to try to diet and work out at the same time. Now that I have reached my goal weight, I am still making healthy choices when I eat. Of course I reward myself every now and then...kind of like tonight...I'm eating a big juicy cheeseburger! :smiley30: But the key is moderation.
