I saw an article in Scubadiving Magazine about research facilities using housed webcams submerged beneath the waves, and in some instances, aquariums. I checked it out, not too bad but not a lot of images right now, just wondering if anyone else knows about it or has checked out Underwater Video Camera (http://www.oceanpresence.com) ?

The only ocean webcams I've seen are the ones from Monterey Bay Aquarium.. that one seems neat!

I've been to www.breathebonaire.com (http://www.breathebonaire.com). I love that site. I see divers from time to time. Lots of little fish but to date, nothing big.

I've been ON the Breathe Bonaire webcam! I've attached a word document to this post with 2 screen shots my wife took. I'm holding the sign, and of course, "bubbling" my wife a kiss at the end all the way from Bonaire to Seattle (yeah, sappy I know - but the gal sent me on a 10 day Bonaire guy's trip!).

The sign I'm holding was saying hello to my buddy's 5th Grade class in Arizona - they'd been studying the equator and the caribbean so it fit perfectly. You can't read it in that picture, but that's what it says.

Those are cool Sounder. I often wonder what the story is behind the people I see on the camera.

That's the best one. The only other one I'm aware of is under the Eden Beach dock which is really really shallow without much to see. The tarpon are HUGE there at night... if you dive there at night, there is an 8-footer named "Charlie" who has a bit of a scar on one side. He's bold too - you'll know him when you meet him.

Most of the divers who find that camera do so by accident... we went looking for it. If anyone is going and wants to know how to find it, I can give exact directions (the directions on the website aren't very clear).

I've been to www.breathebonaire.com (http://www.breathebonaire.com). I love that site. I see divers from time to time. Lots of little fish but to date, nothing big.

I was hoping to find an archive on that site when we got back from our trip last month. Because of the big surge from a storm, we ended up at "Something Special" three times.

I love that site, as it can be a different dive each time. If you conserve your air, the wreck is nice, despite the long swim.
