There is one here in Germany at AAFES that is 110" and they don't have a price on it but they said some where around $46,000 USD.

That is more than I am going to pay for my new BMW next month.

Ahhhhh boys and their toys.

Can't believe the one guys wife won't sign off on a 37".
I am sure my husband is happy to have me. If he wants it he buys it.
He wanted a 48" he got a 48"
He wants new dive gear he is getting new dive gear.
He wanted a new BMW he is getting a new BMW. {yeah yeah we are both getting new ones}

He doesn't REALLY ask, I am his wife for goodness sake not his mother.
DON'T ASK JUST GO FOR IT ! ! ! !

you might not miss 9", but you'd be amazed at the difference between DLP and plasma/lcd... I've had a DLP tv, and although it was nice and pretty, the plasma we have now makes the old DLP look outdated...

We have an LCD projector with a 96" screen in our home theater. Not quite the definition, but hey, for under 2K it's good with me. That's just a little much $ for a TV. Wow!

I am Russian/German by birth {raised in America} and there are more than a few difference between American women and European women. and before the women that read this get mad THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH BEING DIFFERENT.

Oh and for the record European women shave there legs and under arms. The way way older generation like 60++ don't but blame Hitler or something for it.

Eh, a 60" is only like $3000... the extra few inches isn't worth that much money. (as divingmedic said)

holy crap, a 71" Mitsubishi DLP is under 4,000, then again its a DLP and doesn't have 120hz. heh if it was a plasma, it would be far cheaper than that, Sony has a habit of pushing up the price of things. You can get a 52" Samsung with the 120hz automotion for under 3,000. I have yet to see a Sony that can top the Samsung's LN-T5271F. Sony doesn't do the automotion right. Sure the size is nice, but what does it look like when you plug it in?

I agree with Eurodiver, buy what you want when you want, it's your money

The 120 hz thing is a LCD issue, you don't need it on DLP or Plasma technology. And to be honest on the new technology panels it's not as important now either, but it still helps LCD's a bit.

Tried to find the link but couldn't, they were selling a Samsung 70" with home theatre option over here for 71,000,000 won which is about the same as 71,000US....it was 24k gold plated and came with a technician that came from Samsung everyweek to check it and clean it for you..think the warrenty and service was for 5 years.

Some people have way too much money and i seriously believe that they should donate some to me;)

What do you mean it doesn't fly in the states?

I am sort of American. Not by birth but still.
I don't think any man should HAVE to ask his wife for a 37" TV. Should they discuss it sure. If you can afford it then go for it.
Life is too short too not get what you want.

havent you heard that sometimes it is better to ask forgiveness than to ask for permission - when I bought our 42" plasma, I mentioned to her that I was buying a new TV for the downstairs - she said we do not need one, the usual blah, blah, blah, old one is fine - then I went out and purchased it

now she really enjoys watching her shows in HD and is happy that I went and got it and sometimes, I even have to DVR my shows, b/c she is watching hers on it :) not really a big deal since you can skip the commercials with the DVR

For $33k, I think I'll stick with my 65" RPTV.

And my blacks and contrast blow it out of the water, and there's no such thing as motion blur on my set, unless the filmmaker intended it.

That's a sweet TV, except for the cartoon you have on. Dude, hand me your man card... :)
