/salute!

is a p-valve a near future purchase?

There used to be two kinds of people:
Those who pee in their wetsuit and those who lie about it. Now we can add a third category: Those who pee in their drysuit and post pictures of it on the interweb!

This thread finally provoked me to drop the money and pick up a P-valve for my DS.

Soon, I'll be the one with the happy/goofy grin underwater. (Which hopefully won't be followed by the startled/panicked expression!)

Leave your man card at the door when you leave.

I salute him for posting it. At least he is man enough to own up to it and it has made many people laugh. So it brightened some ones day.

And I am almost sure that he is not the ONLY person on the face of planet earth to do it. Just the only one brave enough to post it.

I can honestly say that in 60 dives I have never peed in *my* wetsuit or my drysuit. I did pee in a rental wet suit once :smiley36:

Its a D.I.R. approved technique called the "Warhammer Manuever" that you do if you have to poop at depth.

And no I'm not going to post the instructional picture. You can google it if you want.

Yeah, I gotta lose this gut first. :) It didn't help that I had to STRETCH the suit over my belly. ;) It was hard enough to get out of it at the end of the day... much less to have to pee every hour.

I think they would know a cracked seal normaly gets you wet at the seal point. Not your crutch.I would have opened the suit and soaked my self. Even in 30 degree water.

that i would have kept to myself. i also think i might have cracked a neck seal a bit underwater so i would have an excuse topside why i was wet.

Water pools at the bottom of the suit. If you're properly trimmed out and horizontal, that generally means it will collect around your stomach area, and as soon as you stand up to exit, it will trickle down toward your feet.

Not a particularly pleasant experience. :smiley11:
