Anywho on sunday I was lucky enough to go dive these two amazing wrecks.. the saskatchewan is a 366 foot destroyer escort from ww2... the bottom of the ship rests at about 130 feet, with the highest point of the ship at 80 feet.

I was doing my nitrox training dives so because it was a training dive we had a set limit of 100 feet max... so we descended along the middle line of the ship and circled the top part of the wreck ( the guns, the bridge..)

Absolutely amazing dives... highly encourage anyone to come here and dive them if you have the chance... teeming with life- absolutely covered with plumose anemones, tube worms, ling cod, rock fish /quillback and giant pacific octopus have been spotted.

The Riv Tow lion is a 100 something foot tugboat which was used to bring back boats that were damaged by the german u-boats.. we started the dive at the propellers and worked our way to the front of the ship and back... again it was absolutely covered in life and i got to go through some of the windows and little hallways... good little boat to play around on because it's situated in shallower waters than the Saskatchewan.. I believe my max depth was 64 feet for this dive :)

Very nice dive. I could get along on that dive, but it's a bit far and now it seems I'll need all kinds of papers to get in and out of the country.

I guess someday I'll need a passport to dive some of these neat spots.
