What is your favorite dive spot and why?

It would have to be Lembeh Strait in Indonesia and the reason would have to be the critters. Strangest things you've ever seen.

I have a few favorites:

Cooper River, SC - Meg Teeth (Venice, FL is right up there)...

The Spar off Beaufort, NC is one of my favorite "penetration" wreck dives as well.

Bull Run (Bahamas) is awesome for seeing sharks, so is the Papoose (NC).

Right now, Maeda Point in Okinawa. Of course, since I've only dove Okinawa, take it for what it's worth...

The caves of N. Florida and Quintana Roo for fresh water. I just like caves. :D

LBTS reef for salt water. It was teeming with life the week I dove there, and only 15' depth - makes for a lot of bottom time!

The Looe Key reef in Florida just off Big Pine key is a great dive spot. Lots of coral and fish. If you have your own boat there are plenty of mooring balls. Local dive shops are friendly and helpful with no problems renting tanks like some of the shops in the northern Keys. The average depth of 15' to 25' gives you lots of bottom time. Plenty of photo ops with all the reef life. There is also a wreck near the reef if you are into a dive around 100'.
