Has anyone been to this location?

Granted at first to me the idea of diving around an underwater cemetary was creepy when I first heard about it, but looking at the man made reef that was created on the site it looks pretty cool and the concept is awesome.

I posed the idea to my wife of being underwater together for all eternity and it did not go over well. On a positive note, most all of the spots are still available if anyone is interested! :smilie39:

I think it is a cool idea, although maybe not the best for the family if they are non-divers, hard to visit your loved ones

i have been wanting to go there. i hear that there is lots of life on the first piece that was put in, and it's pretty cool looking.

We also thought it would be neat to check it out. We'll have to do that some time...

It looks really cool, i definitely will be hitting the spot sometime this summer. COuld be kinda weird if people are dumping ashes above you when your diving though

I could see where it might be creepy but imagine a 1000 or so years from now people will be claiming it is a sign of Atlantis.

the ashes are actually mixed into the concrete used to make certain pieces... and then there will be a plaque added.

That will be taken care of when they see the city of Miami under water :smiley20:

I have a chance to dive Neptune late next week...I saw some videos on-line and it didn't look like there was too much marine life on the reef. Has anyone been there recently?

I've always thought it was a great idea. I hope the concept catches on in other parts of the world.
