I am in the market for the yellow 18 lb mesh bags for a zeagle ranger. I am currently stuffing 16lbs in each weight pocket, but that feels klunky. I am thinking of grabbing a tank strap weight bag or two and the yellow mesh bags for the pockets and seeing if that weights me better. I'm a big guy at 6'2" and about 220. So far the 32 lbs in the ocean seems to work pretty good.

How do you set yours up?

What about the rear tank pockets,, I weigh about the same as you and I use (1) in each trim pocket (tank Pocket) and 9lbs in each front weight pocket for a total of 24 lbs

Good to know. I don't have the "rear pockets" as I bought my bc used, so I'd have to buy the rear weight pockets and the yellow mesh ones to be totally dialed.

I tried to drop 6 lbs from my rig and I had trouble getting down. I still need to experiment more though. I might have had some air pocket issues.

I'd like to move some weight to the tank straps or rear pockets to see if that has any effect as well.

Maybe you're referring to your freshwater dive site in OK? that would explain your need for far less weight. Add another 10lbs for the salt water.

LOL... I know what ya mean... same deal over here. The murk is what we call it... Our Petaluma River is actually tidal bay waters but most of the local rivers are pretty murky.
