Hi john

this is a very popular combination , and many consider it to be one of the best Point and shoot underwater setups around at tthe moment ( i actually use a nikon P5000 in a ikelite case)

have a look on wetpixel and also do a search on flickr , there are some very nice shots out there taken with this combo,

also FYI if you can extend the $$ a bit Patma, Sea&Sea also make housings for the G9/G7 .

to get the most out of your setup you should also look at Inon wideangle , macro lenses and either Inon or Ikelite strobes .

all the best on your search
Regards
Matt

Thanks! I'll definitely look into it! I'm kind of on a budget though, and if I could get an Ikelite for a bit cheaper than the retail, it'd definitly help in the purchase of a strobe. How essential is it to get a macro and/or a wide angle lens? I'm sure they're not interchangable underwater so I suppose I'd have to plan out what type of shots I'm looking for beforehand?
