Hey,

Just wanted to send a quick Thank You out to all you who have supported Scuba Steves' Midwest Diving Reports (http://www.midwestmuckdiving.com)

In just a little over a month we have topped the 5000 hit mark. Nothing like what ST gets, but it's working. There have been some great posts on the current dive conditions at various dive spots. This sure has helped out many on this forum.

Thanks again and keep the posts coming. It's great to know what the conditions are before we spend $4.00/gal in gas to get there.

Wow, 5000 hits on a new site in that amount of time is amazing! It's a great site, and a great idea. Nice job Steve's!

One thing I'd like to see on it is a place to post pics. I think that would really take it to the next level.

yeah pics are great!! I gotta admit I look at it about every day just in case I get a wild hair and decide to jump in the water! though I'd hafta have a job to afford to go jump in the water anywhere!! dang lack of close lakes!

You're closer than I am, but then Finger Lakes with it's 3' of vis isn't horrible compared to spending 150 in gas to get 8' of vis.

I will admit that I go there on many an occasion-usually to see what beaver and oronogo are at for visib. Though this year, your could put up a generic "It sucks!!!" for most of the favorite lakes in the Ozarks. Damn torrentiall rains!!!

Looks like TR is really the only lake with any decent diving right now. Sucks that it's a 20 minute drive for me. :smilie39:

On the way back from Arkansas last weekend we took a driving break and took the kids to the fish hatchery. When we drove by Dewey Short we could see some heads bobbing in the water. Thats twice in 8 days I'd driven past the lake and haven't had time to get in. Or money for that matter!

Hey Richard, if you're that close to the lake anyway, what do you need money for???
Next time, give me a shout! With the wife working now, I'm always up for a dive buddy. After the silver creek thing, I owe you a couple of good dives anyway! And don't use the "lost your phone number" excuse.....417-230-3452. There.:smiley2:
