Jimmy has always been curious about diving in Maine. It began after watching Lake Placid.
Anyway he thinks its way too cold to dive. i was reading where its just as abundant there as here.. any help for him would be appreciated.

Just an FYI Lake Placid is in NY in the Adirondacks. Main is plenty warm to dive in a 7mm in the summer!!!!

I'd be shocked to learn it was only "as abundant" In my experience diving in the Eastport/Machias area "downeast", it's one of the most life-abundant sections of the east coast. Yeah... you'll need a 7mm suit. It doesn't matter if the water's chilly, as long as you're dressed for it.
