Yea, this guy is pretty phenomenal. He did, however, ventilate on O2 before the breath hold.

That's nothing, I've been holding my breath for the last two weeks waiting for my wife to let me place another ScubaToys order. Wait, she did tell me not to hold my breath. :faint:

I've dove with people who couldn't stay down for that long with an AL 80 strapped to their back. :)

Considering he was saturated with 20 minutes of O2 before the attempt and considering his best "air" breathhold is a mere 9 minutes 8 seconds! :smiley36:
I've wanted to try an O2 saturated max but can't get anyone willing to serve as safety for me. Any takers?

I wouldn't want to hold my breath for 15 minutes even if I could

Is he on steroids? Would congress think that 02 vent is a performance enhancing drug? Who cares.....

Does 02 vent positively effect the absorbtion of nitrogen in the blood. Then I am for it... longer bottom time.:smiley20:

You want longer bottom time? Just work on your freediving skills. It's a proven method for extending bottom time. :smiley20:

The interesting thing about O2 is that athletes used to breathe it on the sly to enhance their performance.

My best time is a bit over 3 minutes, sad I know.

I've found its easier to beg forgiveness than to ask permission. :smiley29:
