Yea.. I just saw this on news 12 (as local as local news gets). Looks like a raccoon to me, but Im not a naturalist. Whatever it is, looks like a mammal so i think the idea that it is a deep see creature is ridiculous.

on another note, the Plumb Island National Animal Disease Research Center is just a hop skip and a jump from there. Even though they have denied that this thing came from their facility, there is a good chance that this was some experiment that escape. Perhaps it was using its laser vision or even those "nasty, sharp pointy teeth" to chews its way out or the place.
(for those who got the Monty Python Reference, I salute you)

I think i would love to see one in person

It was a white fluffy bunny rabbit with huge sharp fierce teeth! Bring on the Holey Hand Grenade!!!

no no no.. the christmas critters killed off man-bear-pig didnt they?
