Hi,
my buddy and I are planning our first dive trip to Brockville. There are a multitude of charters and sites on the internet. Can anyone recommend a particular wreck < 60', charter outfit, or shore dive?

We are really looking forward to diving in just a shorty for a change!

I'll be going up with some people this month, first time for me, but they've gone up there a number of times. We are using Abucs Scuba at Abucs Scuba Dive Brockville.com St Lawrence River, Ontario Canada (http://www.divebrockville.com/main.html) . This will be the second year in a row using this particular service. I've talked to Helen there, seems very knowledgable and pleasant.

We're staying at the Comfort Inn in Brockville. If you stay there, call them directly to make your reservation and tell them you want the divers rate. It's under $100 versus around $140 as the best online rate (numbers are approx).

From the Abucs site, you might want to read about diving conditions ... Abucs Scuba Dive Brockville.com St Lawrence River, Ontario Canada (http://www.divebrockville.com/divingbrockville.html) . Water temps say 70+, which to me is 5mm territory. Also strong recommendation to wear gloves due to zebra mussels, and bring a light.

Thanks for the suggestion. Abucs is one of the sites I was considering. I guess my buddy and I have anti-freeze for blood, we actually prefer to loose the shorties when it hits 70+ , bathing suit and a t-shirt ... freedom baby

Hey there - I'm fairly new to diving - but I can suggest you look into the charters offered by Divers Wearhouse (http://www.diverswearhouse.com)in Ottawa. They also own a dive resort in Brockville - Riverside Dive Resort > Home (http://www.riversidediveresort.com/) and offer boat and shore dives in Brockville and other areas in the St. Lawerence.
