I figured it was an apt question, seeing as we're in this forum...

drink, eat and have a conversation with my guides. Maybe even a snooze.

Drink, eat, log dives and make up some good stories. I'll never forget that from my confined water. One of the classroom problems with the tables came up with an SI of 15 minutes. My instructor then said, that's silly. I can't even make up a good story in that little time. Seems to be very true.

While in transit to the next site, kiss on the wife, get my rig ready for the next dive, eat orange or pineapple slices, plan and discuss the next dive, kiss on the wife, drink water, kiss on the wife.

I don't know if you're serious or not. Just in case remember swimming is exercise. Read the following.

http://www.diversalertnetwork.org/medical/faq/faq.asp?faqid=133

I set back and watch what's going on and get ready for the next dive. Maybe eat, certainly drink.

eat, drink, sometimes some light swimming or just screwing around in the water

nap if it's a long interval

Depends on the situation. I like to sneak away to a quiet spot and just listen to some music and snooze. Sometimes though, I'll just hang around with the group and BS the time away. It really comes down to how much time I'm spending with the group. If we're together all week or know each other real well, it's easier to sneak away and snooze. If it's a day boat full of new people, we all end up checking out each others gear and sharing dive stories.

Never really thought about swimming between being dangerous...

in reality, I'm halfway serious. When snorkeling friends come along, I usually spend a few minutes freediving (like, half an hour? I try to take my time in between drives), not very deep, 25-35 feet and swim around on the bottom a bit (most springs have a basin so I can dive to the "bottom" in 35 feet even though the spring is 50-70 feet deep). Then I try to wait 30 minutes before putting gear together, so I'm out of the water and not doing anything strenous for 45 minutes or so before diving. I never freedive after diving :). When done diving, I'll relax for a few on the surface, then load gear up slowly. Then I get back in the water. :) And yes, the girls are cute. But also remember that I'm 18, and most of these girls are 16-19.....

I'm glad I'm no the only one who like to take a nap. I'm an early morning diver (gotta get back to the wife and kids), so I'm always a little tired. Especially on a boat, it keeps down the queezy.

I'm usually still on a boat during SI's ... usually have lunch, a hot drink, drive to the next location. If it's a long SI then I might do some snorkling. If we've landed on a beach then just snoozing in the sun. If we're still on the boat I might have a snooze too.

Even if my wife did come along, which she doesn't, I could never get away with kissing on her in public :smiley19: so I pretty much have a snack and a drink and bs with the other divers.

I hydrate like crazy while discussing the last dive. Fill out my log book. Talk about the next dive - what our profile is going to be, what we might see, what would be a new or interesting sighting, what could go wrong and how to correct it... That sort of thing. If the SI is long enough, might nap with the wifey.

I like to hang out and talk to people, hydrate, eat a granola bar, and eat lots of fruit! Watermelon is the best SI food ever. Honeydew and other melons are good, and so is pineapple. It's especially good when you're diving in saltwater, as it gets the taste out of your mouth very quickly.

Reload the gear, change batteries, count the minutes like they are hours counting down to the part where I get to get back into the water and blow more bubbles......lots of water, depending on the situation, maybe bottom fish or troll a little.....

I change my gear for the next dive, drink plenty of water and eat a snack. Then, I like to talk to my scuba diving friends on the boat or on the beach dive with me. I like to joke around and have fun!!! I don't bring my logbook on the dive because I don't want it to get wet. I write interesting things on my white board and my computer keeps track of the stats.
