Does anyone know the conditions at CSSP after all of the recent rain?

I'd like to know how full it is, if there are any bacteria risks, and what the viz and temp are???

Thanks in advance for your replies!

The website says:
<DIV>Surface Temp: 82 degrees
Visibility:20' to 30'
Thermocline:19' @ 72 degrees</DIV>
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV>I'm a little skeptical on the vis though with all the rain.</DIV>

Those conditions are reported 06-20-07. Doubt they are the same now.

We are waiting report from someone that was there recently!!!

<DIV>Debraw on SB posted this today:</DIV>
<DIV>"I dove out at CSSP on Sat, my first time in the water since my ice dive in February. It was really nice to do soem recreational diving. 80 degrees, and at least 20 foot vis, maybe not crystal clear but way better than I had heard about over the past 6 months."</DIV>

Did 4 dives on Saturday and temp was around 80 with vis varying from 10-15 feet. Rain has not brought the lake up much according to people I talked to and the vis actually seemed better than last time I was there (last summer).

In May, the vis was greater than 25 feet and made for a very nice dive. If you haven't done it you must swim into the mouth of the 25 ft GW shark and out the tail. Very cool!

If vis is only 3 feet, "where's $@%@##@ is Woody" should be even more fun than normal!!!!

Was out there yesterday. Vis 10-15. Like everyone else is saying 80 +/- to about 20-24 feet. We went to the bottom of the Silo, temp was 58 +/-, had 3mm suit &amp; gloves 1mm hood was able to stay down about 20 minutes without any problems.

Well, don't get too excited about the 25' reports of vis. Last saturday it was probably topping out around 17' and by the end of the day around 10'. I still call that good vis though. I did get to see 25'+ there back in May, that was awesome.

I've been out there when I can hardly see the end of my fins! Any day I can see my fins is a good day of diving!!

I would not thank it has changed too much from last weekend.
Been no rain to speak of this week at all.

(but who knows what will happen 2 weekends from now)

I just returned from diving my Dad's lake. It's about 2 or 3 miles from CSSP and it was NOT clear at all. Vis was about 5 feet in the good areas.

I was at CSSP on the 21st and viz was just shy of 20'. You could see a diver at 20 but couldn't make out any details. Thermocline was still hanging around 20'. Did 2 dives on the plane.

We went diving on the 21st, and around the silo there seemed to be two thermoclines... one at 20', and another close to the grating.
