I believe it is a Tiger Tail Sea Cumber (Holothuria thomasi).... according to page 399, Reef Creatures Identification, Florida Caribbean Bahamas, phylum Echinodermata, class holothuroidea.

Can anyone help me confirm or deny this information?

Might help if you could share the location.

Not a problem. Sorry, I forgot to include that key piece of info. I video taped this critter on a night dive last week at the Texas Flower Gardens (Stetson Bank).

This is a Beaded Sea Cucumber. Page 388&399 top of Reef Creature ID 2nd edition. At the Flower Gardens I have found them at Steson Bank on night dives.
Very cool critter....

It is indeed a sea cucumber and I believe it is Synapta maculata a very commom species that forages openly on the sand. I was not aware of the common name Beaded Sea Cucumber so thanks, they are always a bit easier to remember than the latin mouthful.

Try setting your pics to 600 x 450 pixels in Photoshop or windows paint. (start, all programs, accessories, paint) that will make it a bit easier on the eye.
