We all have songs that have different meanings. What song reminds you of diving?

For me it is "More than a Feeling" from Boston

Don't Worry Be Happy. Maybe it's the the island sound of it.

Oh right - and, of course, "Under the Sea" as sung by Sebastian the Lobster in "The Little Mermaid."

I agree completely.

Add to that the Sea Hunt Theme Song. (I have it as a ringtone)

"Into the Ocean" by Blue October.

"I want to swim away but don't know how
Sometimes it feels just like I'm falling in the ocean
Let the waves up take me down
Let the hurricane set in motion... yeah
Let the rain of what I feel right now...come down
Let the rain come down"

Not really a song I guess, but the guitar instrumental by Joe Satriani titled "Flying in a blue dream" couldn't describe some of Cozumels drifts any more perfectly.

Love this song! I never thought about it before...but it will probably make me think about diving from now on.

Feels So Good - Chuck Mangione

Wow..there is a blast from the past. Having grown up in Rochester NY and known the family for years, I am suprised to see someone who still has some appreciation for him.

Chris Vidala, his woodwind player was amazing. That guy could play just about anything he was asked to.

My favorite of Chuck was Children of Sanchez. But Feels So Good was great as well.

I like this song too. I have it as the music for my myspace page. You do realize that the song is really about suicide right? But it feels like a scuba song to me.

This is exactly what I was thinking. No matter where I am, if I hear this song--I immediately think of diving.

I have to admit Jimmy Buffett does it to me as well.

Yeah, I know it's about suicide. But I like to think of it as just a song about being in the ocean. It's a good song with a good rhythm to it, more upbeat than down.

I heard this song on the way to my first open water class. I hadn't heard it in 20 years, but I still knew every lyric. First rock song I ever played cover to cover on the guitar.. A little obscure, but I was a big Jake E. Lee fan.

And this because it's the smoothest, coolest, instrumental ever. I sit on my back porch with a little Makers Mark, listen to this and just dream of diving

NOW--that is hysterical.
I miss the big hair bands of the 80's. I can't wait for that fad to become popular again.
It's always a good time putting on the ole leather pants and rockin out---lol

I was so excited when I heard the song in the car (Sirius - Hair nation of course). When I got home that night and watched the video on Youtube, I was like "WOW" that is really ridiculous... But when I was 16, nothing was cooler:smiley16:

Anchor Me by the Muttonbirds, or the Greenpeace remake. I prefer the Greenpeace remake rather than the original - it was done to mark the 20th anniversary of the sinking of the Rainbow Warrior (which also happens to be my favourite wreck dive to date!).

Do you know something that I don't? I have wanted to get the Into the Blue soundtrack but found out that they didn't ever release one. I really like most of the songs and have thought about downloading them to create my own soundtrack but haven't gotten around to it.
