I want to get a tattoo but I am having a very difficult time finding an image that I am completely satisfied with, and that I would like having on my body for the remainder of my life. Plus, I am a teacher so it will need to go somewhere that I can cover.

Mine is going to be on my foot,
Foot area never stretches much, is easily covered - but is exposed when I want it to be (relaxing outside/on the dive boat, swimming, etc)
I have several friends who have had theres on their foot for many years and it still looks good..

Just need to come up with a design!

I was thinking of getting one but I have not found a design I like-Thought about getting the dive flag with the image of a shark in the white line...

While I have several tatt's, I have yet to get a scuba related one. I have a great idea, and have it all drawn up. Only issues is every time I get the extra cash, I end up diving with it. :D

I guess mine is pretty boring compared to you guys, but it WAS just the start of something really cool until we moved. Now I have to find an artist I like to finish it. I have a Great White Shark on the other arm, so eventually it will all tie in together.

That's really impressive 3rdEye. I have to say thats one of the more intricate tattoos I have seen. I have an American Flag with an Eagle on one shoulder, the other is reserved for the Polish Flag with Polish Eagle on it. I will likely make another flag design to go somewhere like my chest or leg to keep with the flag theme.

We can see a lot of thought and planning went into that. :smiley36:

(BTW Seas subsiding to 2 to 3 tomorrow. I already made other plans though)

I'm going to take that as a compliment! :smiley5:
(hey, I said it wasn't finished)

I'm out for diving this weekend anyway, but we'll see about next weekend. It's been two weeks, and my gear is the driest it's been all year. Not happy about that.:smiley36:

That is an awesome tat, man! You did an excellent job on the artwork, and obviously had a good tattooist.

my hubby and I both have some scuba tattoos...
my only one so far is my avatar, on my right calf.
He as 2 - a manta/turtle/tikis on his back and an octopus on his shoulder.

That's the design I'm thinking about, only maybe half that size. I have it all set in my photobucket. :smilie39:

Now it's just needing the cash...

So you had one of those death and destruction skull tats, and turned it into something dive related? nice

Not really SCUBA related but my two tats represent my love of Sand, Sun, and Ocean (which is also why I took up SCUBA). My Avatar pic is a result of a REALLY boring day at work when I took a picture of each of them, removed every pixel of skin using paint and combining them. The Island Palm is on my left calf, the Summer Sun is on the side of my right leg.

I dove the Eagle wreck in the Keys last year It was my first real wreck dive and my deepest dive. I decided to get a tatto to rember it by went to a girl where I live showed her a picture of the wreck she did some searching about it. She put the tatto on my right upper back went to the keys again this year and I took off my shirt to put on my wetsuit and one of the divemasters walked up to me and asked if that was the Eagle wreck. Made my trip.
