Has anyone tried to attach the kit to the Zena? I tried the other day & it seemed like the peg holes didn't quite line up with the bungee clasp...maybe I'm not attaching it in the right place.

Thanks in advance ;)

Are you using the "quick link" to attach it?

Just run the quick link over the top bladder attachment strap, then screw down the link on the top grommet of the signal tube pouch.

The kit will hang between the bladder and the vest.

Thats how I have it mounted to my Brigade, and it sits pretty much perfectly. I don't ever notice it, in or out of the water. I mounted mine using zip ties though.

I just looked at my wife's Zena and it looks like it would mount just like Scott described.

quick link...grommet..I know of no such things:smiley36:

Seriously though, is the clasp on the end of the bungee considered a quick link? There are two of those at the top, both attached to the grommet at the top center. I don't see anywhere to screw anything in except where the bladder attaches to the back portion on both sides at the bottom.

I am probably making this harder than it actually is, but I just don't want to attach it in a way that would interfere with the bladder function...so I appreciate the help.

Did you zip tie the middle or bottom also? I was just wondering because you said you never notice it & that would be nice :)

I attached it by the top, middle, & bottom grommets.

People also use cave line to tie them in. I choose to use the zip ties cause they are easy to put on and remove if I wanted to change it's placement or take it off all together.

Originally I tried carabiners (somewhat like the quick links), but they allowed the smb mesh pouch too much movement and made it more difficult to take the smb out of the pouch.

Give it a shot and experiment with it a bit.

I have never attached the middle of the bottom....although you certainly can.
