Congrats. I'm still borrowing doubles from friends to find out which will suit myself the best.

Just curious, but I've seen your many recent posts on the various boards about you getting into doubles, and I'm just curious why. Are you planning for deeper/deco dives?

I want to go deeper and do "light" deco. My personal HARD limit is 150'. I don't care to go much further than that. My SOFT is 130'. That's in range of my Adv Nitrox and Deco class. I mainly want to cruise wrecks and eventually light penetration.

Otherwise, just dive longer.

Just starting off with double 80's.

Apparently they are out of black al80's so i'm going to have one clear or shot colored AL80 and one black AL80 until next pay day. Oh well.

Sounds great!

Just remember that the mass of the doubles will affect your bouyancy. It will take longer to arrest a decent, and longer to start going up after changing the amount of air in your BC. Keep this in mind so that you don't over-inflate the wing and end up with a rapid ascent.

Congrats, Brandon! They will take a little getting used to, but not a whole lot. Good luck with em! See you soon.

Why not just go with one clear and one black. Be a trend setter, make it so everyone knows that it's you underwater...It'll keep your buddy for mistaking you and going after a different diver....:smilie39::smiley20:
