I have been unable to find a housing for my camera :(
I have the pentax optio w30 and love the thing! I have about 20 gb in sd/ sdhc cards... So if there is no housing avalible for it can someone recommend a camera and housing system that will take sdhc cards.
Thanks

That's a pretty "niche" camera by itself, so Id doubt there's a housing avalible.

As far as memory cards go. They are too cheap now to base your camera on what fits what.

It'd be best to do a little research and figure out the best possible camera/housing combo you can get and stay in yout budget. Only way you won't have regrets...

EDIT:

Oh. And by the way. Welcome to the world of owning a Pentax camera. Great cameras, but not popular, and no aftermarket support. Im in the same boat...

If there is one, Digideep (http://www.digideep.com) will probably list it.

I didn't find any housings for it like you suggested. My aftermarket support has been a little better though as they made an out-of-warranty repair without charging me for it.

Thanks for the advice everyone. Is there any place that would make a custom housing for my pentax optio w30? My lds say that they can get one from ikelite but it will cost 400usd I could almost buy a new setup for that price...

From what web reaserch I did on your camera, it is made to go up to 10' deep (read take pictures of my kids at the pool.) I did a good search of the major online camera and dive dealers and didn't find a match for your camera.

As you noted, you "might" be able to get an acceptable jury-rigged case for big bucks. I would recommend: Start planning on getting good alternate camera with features that you like-make a list of the features and look at several. Once you have the list down to 2-4 cameras, see which cases are available for those cameras and make your decision based on the ability of getting the camera and case. Not the best solution, but a good one.

Except that they might be referring to SeaTool which is made by Fisheye of Japan. Fisheye (http://www.fisheye-jp.com/english/index.html)

For help with housing availability for your camera, I suggest contacting Backscatter (http://www.backscatter.com/) or Reef Photo (http://reefphotovideo.com/).
