Sorry, I have no picture to show off as it was a night dive and the vis was horrible.

The fish(?), called a Flamenco Fish by one of the guys on the dive because it looked like a flamenco dancers skirt, was a pinkish/coralish color and was basically a twist. As it moved up and down in the water it would spiral. It was seen off the southern coast of South Korea in about 7'-10' of water.

Any ideas of what this creature could be?

Sounds like it could have been a Spanish Dancer.

I couldn't see the picture you posted at work, but will check when I get home. I looked up the Spanish Dancer, but it didn't look exactly like it. It was more of a continuous spiral and was only about 2"-3" in total length. It very well could have been this though.

Hmm, don't know why the pic doesn't show - it did work before. I'll try and find another that links properly.

Another possibility (especially with your size description) is a free-swimming flatworm. They can appear spiral shaped when moving through the water.

I think I'd be more comfortable calling it a Free-swimming Flatworm... just wasn't big enough to be a Spanish Dancer (though I understand it could have been a baby) but it was pretty flat and it was free-swimming... makes sense.

Sounds like it could have been a Spanish Dancer.

Then I opt for Christina!
