View Full Version : Venice Beach September 1st 9 am

I am going to hunt for sharks teeth on the first ... al divers are welcome to join the fun ... it is pot luck style so bring food ;)
From the south:

Head to Venice on I 75. Take exit 193 and head SW (coming from the south thatís a left turn) on Jacaranda. Turn right on Venice Ave. Stay on Venice Ave until after youíve crossed the bridge to the downtown area. Turn left at the second light after the bridge (Harbor - name not well marked). Turn right at the 5th street (Alhambra).

From the north:

Head to Venice on I 75. Take exit 200 (SR681) and follow it to US 41 where you'll turn left (south). Take US 41 to Business US 41 (Tamiami Trail) where you turn right. After you cross the bridge, you'll turn right on Venice Ave. Turn left at the first light (Harbor - name not marked). Turn right at the 5th street (Alhambra).

did a couple of shark teeth dives there as well with florida west scuba school. got a whole bucket of teeth, but not the big ones. there still out there a couple of chicks grab some good ones dress warm with a hood staying under for hour 30 minutes gets to the bones

no need to wear anything other then a skin ... water temp is mid 80's not ... you could over heat out there so long ;)

I have been diving just off of the beach in venice for 10 yrs. This summer it was great. Gulf 88F all summer long. The vis was about 10-12 ft. I only found 1, 4 in tooth the whole time, but a lot of small ones. Fun place
for a 15-20 ft dive. Easy Access from venice beach.

hey i actualyl just heard about this dive from a guy i bought my wing from... i wanna check it out, anyone else wanna go? if i am understanding right, its around an hour under Tampa?

the one i heard about is an hour under tampa, and im goin down for the UCF v USF game for the weekend maybe so trying to find some places toget dives in!
