After a lot of research I finally placed an order for this package:

Sea & Sea DX-1G camera and housing
(2) Sea & Sea YS-27DX strobes (tray & arms)
Wide Angle Lens
Lens caddy
Macro Flash Diffuser
Close Up Lens & Lens AdapterThanks to DevilDiver for his thread about the camera and answering the follow-up questions that I had. And huge thanks to Joe for putting together a fantastic package price that allowed me to make this purchase! I can't wait until it arrives. Unfortunately, I'll be practicing on land until my next dive trip. Hopefully, that will only be until the end of February.

The only thing left to complete the package is a focus light (for now anyway).

Congratulations!!

I believe you will be very happy with this camera. Read the manual and practice all you can on land, the better you know the camera the better you will do when you get it in the water.

If you have any questions let me know..... There are great topside acesseries available for the Ricoh GX100.

Please post some photos when you get a chance.

I can't wait until it arrives. I hope to learn as much as I can about the camera on land before getting it in the water. I'd like to get some topside accessories, but right now they are out of my budget. Maybe I should drop some hints for Christmas...

Everything arrived late last week. Unfortunately, I haven't had much of a chance to play, it was a busy weekend. I'm doing a quick read through the manual during my train commute and am hoping to really get to mess around over the long weekend. I can't seem to find my everyday point and shoot, so I might be testing this out taking family photos over Christmas too.

DevilDiver, do yo have any problems with the tray/arm set-up? When the housing is on it seems like the right arm and knob are in the way holding the camera... It seems like the only way it will work is if the right arm is fully extended out to the right or down.

Wow. Looks like a nice setup for sure.
Once you get the bugs worked out a review would be helpful for others.
(I'm particularly interested in the strobe setup)

I think I know what you are saying..... If you mean when the right arm is in a vertical position that your hand is blocked from holding the camera on the right side.

If so, this is not an issue. When in the water you will be holding the camera by the lower arm sections. Your thumb will have access to the controls on the back of the camera and your index finger has access to the shutter lever with the other three fingers kinda gripping the arm. It is awkward out of the water because of the weight but in the water the system is only slightly negative so it is a lot easier to hold and move around.

If I am off on this try to take a pic showing what you are saying and we can try again....

You can PM me if you want and I will give you my cell if you have more questions.

Got any test shots yet? I just got the telephoto lens (not underwater) for the camera and have been messing around with it.

Here is a pic of my underwater set up. (The UW close up lens is not in this pic)

What about the strobes are you wondering about? Types? Options? Positions?
