Just curious where everyone went & thought I would be the first to post in the midwest forum in 2009.

Has everyone put up the gear for the year or just to busy to post?
Since mm2002 moved to the Sunshine & Palm trees there has not been much going on in this forum.

Anyone planning to dive Table Rock Lake anytime soon? My Brother-in-Law is a wuss & thinks it's to cold to dive & I need to get wet!!

Well, I too don't like the cold and it's just all hard water up here in Iowa. I am thinking of maybe driving to Florida somtime before spring though.

I like the cold. We're getting ready for ice diving now.

I'm still diving up here in Michigan. Gilboa doesn't have ice - so in I go!

Is anyone going to Scuba Fest in Columbus?

lots of activity in the DDCN forum, which is basically...missouri/kansas... the parts of the midwest that really count ;)

Hi mselizann, I am tentatively planning on going at this time. By tentative, it is on the calendar but I haven't made any reservations.

Yeah- me too. I see if you volunteer for a 4 hour shift you get a pass for $40 and a t-shirt

I didn't know there was a volunteer offer for March's show. I'm volunteering at Our World Underwater... that's not a bad trade to see the show.

I'll have to give it more thought now.

You would thik the big guy would drop in & say hello from time to time.
Just cause he moved away doesn't mean he has to abandon us?:smiley13:

I am still diving as well. I just have not made it down to TRL. I had planned on being down there a few times in Jan and Feb, but with two new twin boys at home that are not really supposed to leave the house until after flu season it is making that tough to do.

There is a group from Midwestdive.com (www.midwestdive.com) that is going to Mermet at the end of the month. If you are interested come on over and play...

It does seem a little quite around her without mm2002. I'm sure the diving will pick up in the midwest here quickly. Today, 20 degrees, even with a drysuit a little on the cold side.

I'm actually going to meet up with mm2002 in April in his new stomping ground. My wife is dragging me to Florida for one of her conferences and what do you know, I will be within an hour of where mm2002 is. It must be fate.

I was supposed to be going to Fl at the end of the month for a conference but it got cancled.

Being from Chicago and relocated to Texas.... all I can say is Burrr, who's thinking of diving up there? Unless planning a trip south!
