I know a good number of us are staying over Saturday night due to long drive times. (DW and Diving CRNA excluded-durned local divers!!!)

Does anyone have plans that evening? If not, we might make plans sometime during the surface intervals about meeting someplace for dinner.

What do all of you think?

I can't dive - I am flying home that evening at 5pm. As much as I am tempted to tempt fate,

nah. Better stay out of the water on Sunday.

I say dinner and cocktails. (I won't be there, but I always say dinner and cocktails :).)

You guys have sticks in the water right? Sorry. Luv you all, but can't handle sticks.

I don't remember any sticks but we'll calm you if you see any.

Now, if Nats was going, I would reconsider.

We will probably stick around for a little bit and visit with everyone before heading back to the house.

Chatters is a nice place to eat. Good drinks, too! :D

I don't recall any in this quarry, might be in the deep part but I've not heard of any. Plain ole rock quarry with things tossed into it. Pretty safe and free of sticks.

Shhhh! Don't tell Splitlip, but there are a few at the SW corner (the Bell Line) at around 70' and a few around the wall by the plane. But as far as I know, they're pretty tame and haven't attacked anyone for years. :smiley36:

I guess that means he won't make the trip up to meet gNats. :smiley36:

I am going! Flying from Detroit to Kansas City for the weekend.

And, Tim, those are not sticks in the quarry, they are Trumpet Fish. Very very very still Trumpet Fish.

That's how they avoid predators.

Frankly, I went to see Deep Sea in 3D this weekend, and yeah, um, there is some scary stuff down there in the Great Barrier Reef and Indonesia reef systems.

SWIMMING Sea Snakes. Yep, I added them to the list of Things I Don't Need to Get in Kissing Range of.

I have one of those lists too gNats, but it is getting WAY too long now. Landsharks are on the top...and I've added the sea snakes at your recommendation.

At least there are a few things left...I have a date with a 28 year old this week. :smiley32:

Cool. We can take a looksee at who is planning on staying in the area and find something to do then.

Maybe a joint with darts and pool and bacon cheddar burgers would be a fun way to kill some time?

Uhm..that would be swell guys, but the Town as well as my HOA prohibit the parking of RV's in front of the house.

To get it in the back yard we would have to take out a 4ft high concrete privacy wall and my pinapple fountain.

Gosh darn it!

Sorry fellas. We are plumb out of luck I guess.

i have zero issues with ripping out a 4 foot high concrete privacy wall, and ripping out a pinapple fountain is now on my list of things to do.

Think of it this way: 70' of detcord, about 10 1/4 sticks (oops, I said the "S" word.:smiley36:) of tnt and we can have that fountain gone and a new RV entrance into the back yard.

I'm excited! When do we leave?! :smilie39::smiley20:

very good point. I agree - the smoke I can do without. I was thinking of something to do other than just spend the time eating.

A decision will / can be made on the fly. Maybe just chilling back at one of the hotels is the best idea all around.

gNats, aside from Don's slam of the jacuzzi (of course, he doesn't take into account most jacuzzi's have DE filters that are actually quite good), that sounds good after a few hours of SI. I think soemthing can be planned. At the very least, folk will be thinking about it.

You could always go give the Quapaws some money at Downstream. Driveway entrance in Missouri, parking lot in Kansas, actual casino in OK. Kinda neat from a geographer's aspect.
