I was never one for deserts and baking. "formulas" instead of "recipes".

Do you make your own crust?

What was it about today and Pie? I really wanted a piece of fruit pie. Apple, Cherry, Blueberry. Either didn't matter. I just wanted a piece of fruit pie.

Funny. Last night I was talking about cherry pie and thinking of the TV series "Twin Peaks".
I can cook, but I cannot bake.

Edit:
Post deleted. Can't believe I am paranoid about my Man Card.

For a manly pumpkin pie:

Bake pumpkin pie.

Smash the hell out of ginger snaps.

Whip very chilled cream with powdered sugar and liberal amounts of bourbon (I prefer Maker's Mark.)

Top pie with bourbon whipped cream and sprinkle smashed ginger snaps on top.

Real Men eat pies, they don't make them.

Lot's of cowards hide their girliness behing the end of a gun, shooting competitively proves nothing. I don't think that it's a coincidence that Split Lip and Sara Lee both have the same initials. You're not fooling anyone, SL.

I can make my own crust, but last night I cheated and did one of those sara lee pre-made pies. I'm a baker for work, so most of the time the last thing I want to do when I get home is cook.

For the record, there is no danger to the man card if all you do is chuck a Mrs. Smith's Natural Juices frozen pumpkin pie in the oven.

As long as you devour it in manly style afterwards, of course. ;)

If I had to choose only one dessert to eat for the rest of my life, it would be pumpkin pie. No contest.

Creme brulee, no contest.

Fed to me by a clooneyesque French chef, even better. Yes, this happened.

Oh come on. Cut me a break.

Baking is difficult. I like to cook but fear deserts almost as much as I do Foo 2.

I find it interesting that it wasn't until my card was revoked that this type of thread started appearing in this forum. Go figure.

But since I have no card to protect, I'll provide dcoumentary eveidence that I bake. It's not THAT hard. Anyway I just figured "Sara Lee" should be able to do it if I can :smiley36:

I personally like a whip cream cake. layers of chocolate wafers and whip cream. But I only make around chaunukkah. (grandma Lesch would make it for chaunukkah so now that's the only time I make it even though it is easy to make)
