Hey all,
I'm gonna be doing an internship in Williamsburg/Gloucesterpoint, and I was wondering what the diving is like in that area. Any dive clubs, or anyone who wants to do some diving with someone new to the area?

Hi MacDiver,

There is some diving not far from there out of Virginia Beach. Lynnhaven Dive Center seems pretty good, and I'm thinking about taking a trip out with them sometime this summer.

Check out http://www.ldcscuba.com/list.php?cid=340&esi=d5681e83bc940e1a2f4caece3c6c56b9 for some local spots from Lynnhaven's website.

Lake Rawlings is another popular place for diving. I would guess it is 2 or 3 hours from Williamsburg.

I'd suggest posting in the "Mid Atlantic Darkwater Divers" section of the forum if you are looking for a buddy. When I'm planning on heading to Rawlings or down to VA Beach, I'll definitely put a post up there. I'd be happy to meet up with you, if fortune favors.
