Just realized the club has it's own forum now. Who else here is from the Scubadillo's? I've been a member for about 6 years now, but took a hiatus for about a year when I got married and bought a house. Now, I'm trying to get more involved as time permits.

Probably no one yet! I just popped up the Dive Club section this morning, and didn't want it to be empty, and since a lot of the Dillo's come in to our shop - I popped them in there to start. So gather up some of your buds and drag them in here!

Cool Rick -- I can't make the Labor Day thing as I'll be in Chicago (but not diving). Is there a website for this?

This month, we had a dive at Athens last weekend...

I was there, which one were you? I don't know any of the new faces because I haven't been too active the last several months. I'm the one who left after the 1st dive to go visit my mother nearby before I headed back to Dallas. Gray t-shirt, blue swim trunks in the pictures.

By the way, the meetings are the first Thursday of the month. Are you getting there 24 hours early for the bar? ;)

We're making progress...which one were you? Or is this Henry? (isn't Hank an alternate name for Henry?)

Yes, this is Henry speaking. Pictured above is Jay and Leonard. I think you know Jay, and Leonard just joined us. Rick is in the yellow shirt in the middle.

I guess I just have to come visit you guys next month.

I may not make the 6:30pm opening gun due to the drive from Fort Worth.

Is this place as smoky as the Point on NW Hwy at Loop 12?

Is this place as smoky as the Point on NW Hwy at Loop 12?Not too bad, actually. We meet in a meeting room that separates us from the smokers in the main bar/restaurant area. We close the doors, so we don't get the smoke. Our meetings are non-smoking as well.

You can still order your food if you arrive late an eat during the meeting. There is NO requirement to order food or drink. Most of us arrive from work, so we haven't had the opportunity to eat elsewhere. We normally have about two dozen of so folks attend; large enough to be fun, small enough to not to be lost in the crowd.

Come and join the fun, Georgia. Just let me know, so I can reserve a table for you and your beau.

I highly doubt the beau will be coming. I am very sure he will be working. I have seen him 4 hours in the last two weeks.:smiley19:

Yeah, the bar area smells like an old Vegas casino, but our separate room isn't bad at all. The food isn't too shabby either. And of course, we're good people. :)
