This is my 1,000th ScubaToys post. (Hard to believe it's that many.)

Accordingly, I'm changing my avatar to reflect this milestone in my e-Scuba status.

There are now TWO barracudas in this picture.

Congrats!

We always find those things at about 15'-20' it seems just hanging out underneath dive boats... something entertaining for the safety stops.

Cool picture. I see you are taking a picture of the barracuda, how'd that turn out? Do you have the other angle posted somewhere?

Thanks. Here' the photo I was taking (with my wide angle lens and pulled all the way back zoom)

Holy Shmoly that is a good picture.

People tell me you have to have a really good wide angle lens then get close. When you think you are close enough, get closer. Seeing this fish from the two different angles is a great example of how close you have to be to get a really good picture.

Thanks for sharing that.

Very nice photo. How about some technical details? Camera model, housing, depth, location....I enjoy photography, but underwater is a whole different animal...so I try to learn as much as possible when I see a really good picture.
